KINCARDINE, ON – Fun should be accessible to everyone, especially in the summertime. The Municipality of Kincardine continues work to remove barriers to accessibility and create an inclusive environment. Two of these initiatives focus on making the lakeside community enjoyable to everyone: Mobi-Mats and a beach wheelchair.

The Municipality of Kincardine (Municipality) has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to complete a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to identify options for expansion of the Kincardine Water System and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at 155 Durham Street, address potential community growth in the study area, and consider a possible extension to Bruce Power.

The Honourable Todd Smith, Ontario’s Minister of Energy, paid a visit to Bruce Power yesterday, July 5th. He, along with Bruce Power representatives, fellow provincial colleagues, and local dignitaries were on hand to announce the start of pre-development work to site the first large-scale nuclear build in over three decades.
